Many people are struggling to figure out how they are going to provide for themselves and their families as more businesses and establishments close.

The Santa Barbara Foundation (SBF) and the United Way of Santa Barbara County (UWSBC) announced a joint partnership to provide financial support to address the needs of individuals and families impacted by closures that have been prompted by the coronavirus.

The joint response effort allows both organizations to coordinate funds to help community members and the non-profits that serve them.

The SBF is also actively working with local government and nonprofit organizations to monitor the situation and keep partners informed with the most current health information.

The SBF will be hosting seminars this week:

Santa Barbara Foundation will be hosting a webinar with employment lawyer Jonathan Light of LightGabler in Ventura. He will share his California specific guidance for non profits in respect to the regional impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This webinar gives insight into how your organization can engage in "just-in-time" business continuity planning.

ThinkHR has fielded hundreds of questions from HR departments across the country struggling to meet these challenges.
During this 45-minute informational webinar, Kara will also share resources and best practices on topics including work-from-home policies, FMLA and PTO.

If you can't make this webinar, you can register and get a recording of it.
