Santa Barbara County has named a new Director of the Office of Emergency Management.
Kelly Hubbard's first day on the job will be August 19. She replaces Rob Lewin who left the county in May after three years as OEM Director.
Hubbard most recently served as Emergency Manager at the Municipal Water District of Orange County, where she worked for 15 years.
Hubbard has a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Cal Poly Pomona and a master's in Emergency Services Administration from California State University Long Beach. She is a Certified Emergency Manager by the International Association of Emergency Managers and trained in Safety and Environmental Management Systems, National Incident Management System, Crisis Information Management, American Red Cross Shelter Operations, and as an Incident Management Team liaison.
