The San Luis Coastal Education Foundation has received a $100,000 donation from the Harold J. Miossi Charitable Trust to help fund the Foundation’s new iNNOVATE Initiative.
iNNOVATE is a multi-year initiative to integrate project-based learning across the district’s ten elementary schools.
The donation will allow teams of teachers to begin planning and putting together a strategy for integrating project-based learning into elementary school instruction.
This first phase of the initiative is expected to take about six months, according to the Foundation.
