Police are investigating two reports of robberies at the Santa Maria Town Center Mall over the weekend.
The calls came in just before 6 p.m. Saturday, according to police.
In the first instance, which reportedly happened outside, investigators say a boy with a knife took another boy’s cell phone and smashed and broke it before taking off with the victim’s skateboard.
A second report was taken around the same time but police had little information to release on that case.
Kristen La Grange, Santa Maria Town Center East marketing manager, says they take crimes like these seriously and the mall works with police and the City of Santa Maria on the investigation.
No injuries were reported.
