UPDATE (7:13 p.m.) - A man has been arrested after barricading himself inside a Lompoc home for more than six hours, police say.
Around 11 a.m. Monday, police say a woman called to report her ex-boyfriend, Ivan Gutierrez, 29, was at her home in violation of a restraining order.
Police say she told them Gutierrez refused to leave and had a knife.
She was able to get out of the home on North M Street but when police arrived Gutierrez allegedly refused to come out, according to a police press release.
After several hours of negotiating with Gutierrez, police say a SWAT team was called to the scene.
They were able to get inside the home and arrest Gutierrez shortly before 5:40 p.m.
