ORIGINAL STORY: A prescribed burn is scheduled to take place Friday north of Highway 58 in San Luis Obispo County.
CAL FIRE SLO says about 500 acres of invasive thistle will be burned along San Juan Creek in LA Panza.
The area is north of Highway 58 and east of East Pozo Road.
It's one of a handful of prescribed burns in the county this week.
