UPDATE (12:26 p.m.) - PG&E reports power was restored to more than 1,800 affected customers in Atascadero and Templeton in just over an hour Monday morning with the remaining customers having power restored shortly after.
The cause was listed as an Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings-related outage.
The setting allows PG&E’s power lines to automatically shut off when they experience any interference.

UPDATE (11:57 a.m.) - As of 11:56 a.m., PG&E reported 792 customers remained without power.

ORIGINAL STORY: More than 2,600 PG&E customers were impacted by a power outage in the Atascadero area Monday morning.
According to PG&E, the outage started just before 10 a.m. affecting power to people on the west side of Highway 101 in the city.
No word on the cause.
Restoration is expected by 4:45 p.m. Monday.
