UPDATE (8:52 p.m.) - University spokesman Matt Lazier said a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was in the crosswalk.
Lazier said it happened on Grand Ave near N. Perimeter Rd just after 8 p.m.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with complaints of leg and shoulder pain.
According to the university spokesman, the driver stayed on scene.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the collision, officials said.
Cal Poly police are continuing to investigate.

ORIGINAL STORY (8:19 p.m.) - Cal Poly Police are responding to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian on campus.
University Police Dispatch confirms they are responding to an area of Grand Ave.
It is unclear if there are any injuries.
In January, a 20-year-old was arrested in connection to a felony hit-and-run on Grand Ave. by the Performing Arts Center that left two people injured.
