The Land Conservancy of SLO County announced Monday the reopening of the Pismo Preserve in San Luis Obispo.
The popular hiking trail closed in March due to the design of the trails and not being able to provide adequate opportunities for social distancing.
The Land Conservancy says the trails will be open from 4 p.m. to dusk on weekdays only. The preserve will remain closed on the weekends.
All trails have been signed for one-way travel. There is a kiosk with an updated map at the trail, or you can review the map before your visit at this link.
For those who are hoping to explore the trails on horseback, horse trailer Tuesday's remain on hold. However, equestrian trailer parking is still available online. There will only be three spaces available daily for reserve.
In order to follow state guidelines for reopening, along with trail modifications, the conservancy says restrooms will be cleaned daily.
