The San Luis Obispo County Land Conservancy re-opened the Pismo Preserve Monday.
The Preserve will be open on weekdays only until further notice to reduce crowds and avoid the busiest days.
Trails will be one-way only and the Land Conservancy recommends starting hikes off the range road to the south of the restrooms and kiosk.
Guests are required to have masks on them while on the trails and wear them when passing others.
The Land Conservancy also asks all guests to embrace the "pack it in, pack it out" method of engaging with open spaces and dispose of any trash properly.
"I recommend people come out here," mountain biker Chuck Blackwell said. "It's a great spot, but I also think that it's important that people obey the etiquette and the rules that have been set up."
