The Pismo Preserve is re-opening beginning on Monday.
The Land Conservancy of SLO County announced Wednesday that the 900-acre area will be open Monday to Friday from dawn to dusk. The trails will remain closed on weekends until further notice.
The Land Conservancy states:
- Masks must be available or on your person at all times on the trails. It does not need to be worn at all times but needs to be put on when passing others on trails or when you are within six feet of other people.
- Trails are one-way only.
- Pack your garbage and don't drop it along the trails.
The Land Conservancy is keeping the preserve closed on weekends to reduce the volume of people on trails at any given time and reduce the risk of exposure to staff, volunteers, and other visitors.
