San Luis Obispo police say a person who was having a mental health crisis is now in custody after a brief standoff with officers.
Police responded to the area of the 1700 block of Bishop St. and evacuated nearby apartments as a precaution.
A short time later, they reported that the person was in custody and safe, being assisted by mental health professionals.
Police say there were no threats to surrounding areas during the incident.
