UPDATE (5:15 p.m.) - Authorities at the scene say the driver of a Honda Fit traveling eastbound on Clark stopped to make a turn and was rear-ended by a Chevrolet pickup. That collision pushed the smaller car into the westbound lane where it was struck by another vehicle.
A passenger in the Honda Fit died at the scene.

(3:26 p.m.) - One person was killed in a crash on E. Clark Avenue in the Santa Maria area on Monday.
It happened at around 2:15 p.m. near Presquile Drive.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, two people also suffered major injuries and were taken to nearby Marian Regional Medical Center.
Clark Avenue was closed as a result of the crash.
