Old Orcutt Barber Shop reopened Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.

Customers were waiting outside an hour before the shop even opened, according to barber shop owner Alberto Licerio.

He said wait times got up to an hour and a half long.

Licerio was one of many barber shop and salon owners on the Central Coast to reopen on Wednesday, Gov. Gavin Newsom's announcement on May 26 that salons and barber shops in certain counties could reopen with modifications. Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties are on the list of approved counties.

Old Orcutt Barber Shop is only allowing three people to wait inside, along with three people getting their hair cut at one time.

The owner said customers can now write their name down to reserve a place in line, before waiting outside for their turn.
