Northern San Luis Obispo County residents may soon be hearing more noise linked to Camp Roberts.

According to the San Miguel Firefighters Association, training at the base located in San Miguel is expected to resume mid-June.

With COVID-19 restrictions reportedly lifting at Camp Roberts on June 30, the association says troop density will be higher for the next 90 days as the base works to catch up on training.

The update was reportedly given by a base official at a recent CSD board meeting.

The association says people in the town should expect more military traffic, personnel in town and night training noise.

KSBY has reached out to Camp Roberts for more information and is waiting to hear back.
