Ross Dress for Less is now open at the Madonna Plaza shopping center in San Luis Obispo.
The Ross located on Higuera St. in downtown SLO is also still open, but employees are unsure for how long.
The new Ross is located in the former Sears building. A Michaels arts and crafts store is also going into that location. It's scheduled for a soft opening on August 16 and a grand opening on August 18.
Next door at the SLO Promenade shopping center, work is underway at the future site of an REI store. They have not yet announced an opening date.
REI will be located next to the Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store, which opened in April.
Both Michaels and REI are hiring.
