Lompoc's sixth licensed cannabis business is now open, but this one is a little different from the others.
Seaweed on Ocean not only sells cannabis products but it will have a separate room for on-site consumption.
"The difference in our shop will be actually coming in our phase two and that is that we are the first licensed on-site consumption in between Los Angeles and San Francisco," said Todd Mitchell, Seaweed on Ocean co-owner.
Seaweed on Ocean is having its grand opening on December 21 but is currently open with limited hours. It's located at 1101 E. Ocean Ave.
On-site consumption will be allowed starting in 2020, pending final approval from the City of Lompoc.
Lompoc now has five retail cannabis shops and one cannabis manufacturing facility.
