ORIGINAL STORY: Emergency crews were responding to a multi-vehicle crash along Highway 101 in the Pismo Beach area Monday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened at about 3:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes near the Price Street offramp.
Initial reports showed as many as five vehicles may be involved.
Traffic was backing up and moving slowly through the area a short time later.
No word on the extent of any injuries.
