California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a mail service vehicle and a motorcyclist.

CHP and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office say the motorcyclist 45-year-old, Michael Joseph Figone of Santa Barbara, died on the scene as a result of the crash.

According to CHP, the mail driver turned left onto Alisa Lane from Marina Drive and Figone collided with the right side of the vehicle.

CHP says Figone was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway.
