Man hospitalized after shooting Saturday in Paso Robles

The Paso Robles Police Department says a man is in the hospital with a gunshot wound after a shooting on Saturday.

According to a press release sent to KSBY, Paso Robles police and medics responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 2nd and Vine Streets.

Officials say they saw the 24-year-old victim on scene with a single gunshot wound to the left shoulder.

Police say the victim was heavily intoxicated and could only tell officers he believed the suspect left the scene in a silver vehicle.

The man also said he was alone during the shooting and there were no witnesses to the incident, said police.

Police say the victim was later transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
