UPDATE (4:44 p.m.) - The California Highway Patrol has identified the driver killed as a 76-year-old man from Concord.
Officers say another person driving by noticed the minivan overturned off the highway and called for help.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
Investigators say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

ORIGINAL STORY: A man was killed in a crash on southbound Highway 101 in Santa Barbara County early Tuesday morning.
It happened at about 6:15 a.m. just south of Highway 154.
The vehicle involved, a minivan, reportedly rolled off the highway into a creek.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, it was raining at the time of the crash.
The highway remains open.
