A local family is bringing Christmas spirit to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo.

Today, sixth-grader Taylor Hamblin and her parents brought stuffed animals for the kids in the neonatal intensive care and pediatrics units.

Taylor's mom told her about the kids in the hospital, and Taylor wanted to help.

"It was really amazing to see the smile on these kids' faces when they got the presents," Taylor said. "It really brung me up. It was the highlight of my day because I've been wanting to do this for so long, and now It's finally come true."

Taylor wants to be an oncologist when she grows up.
