SANTA MARIA — Business is good for Idler's Home, despite the worldwide pandemic.
Idler's has moved its location in Santa Maria to near the corner of McCoy and South Broadway in the FoodMaxx shopping center, which is three times the size of the former location on the corner of Betteravia and Broadway, and offers a furniture and bedding store, as well as appliances and outdoor living products.
The decision to move locations was decided before the pandemic, but COVID-19 has not slowed business down; in fact, business is up 100 percent, according to Idler's Sales Supervisor Rob Scott.
"To see this for the Idler's company this is like a dream come true and we've been wanting to have a big store down here for some time to match the stores in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles," Scott said.
The full grand opening will most likely be in September.
The former Santa Maria location, which closed last Friday, will reopen in the future as an Idler's Outlet Center.
