Grover Beach unveiled its newly remodeled train station.
The city hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for what's now called the Grover Beach Transit Center.
Back in 2012, the city council voted to expand the train station to include an adjacent bus shelter, new parking spaces and eventually, bikes.
The idea is to give travelers a more seamless transition between travel platforms.
"It will improve the rider experience," said Matt Bronson, Grover Beach City Manager. "It will improve visitor access. It will improve parking. It will improve the overall experience that visitors have when they're coming into Grover Beach."
The aesthetics and landscaping were also improved around the transit center which was expanded by more than an acre.
