October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and for the entire month, Grover Beach Police Department officers will wear pink patches on their uniforms.
The Pink Patch Project is intended to encourage public awareness about early detection and treatment in the fight against breast cancer.
The department is raising awareness and money for the Hearst Cancer Resource Center in San Luis Obispo.
To purchase a patch of your own, stop by the Grover Beach Police Department.
Patches are $10 each.
