Grover Beach police are looking for two people who they call "persons of interest" in a graffiti investigation.
Graffiti that police described as both racist and sexual in nature was found at Grover Beach Elementary School on Monday morning. It included an image of a hanging stick figure and a racial slur.
On Tuesday, police released photos of two people who they say were seen on school video surveillance walking with a dog.
"It is important to note, these two people may not be responsible for the graffiti and may be witnesses in the investigation," police said in a Facebook post.
Police say they'd like to talk to the two people and are asking that they, or anyone who recognizes them, contact Det. Sgt. Celis Rabena at crabena@gbpd.org or Det. Matt Goodman at mgoodman@gbpd.org or (805) 473-4511. Anonymous tips can be made by contacting Crime Stoppers at (805) 549-STOP.
