An anonymous donor gifted $2.5 million to the French Hospital Medical Center on Aug. 31.
According to a press release, this donation will assist in the Beyond Health fundraising campaign to support a hospital campus expansion project that costs $130 million.
“The Beyond Health movement has become even more critical today as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic,” President and CEO Alan Iftiniuk said in the release. “The need for additional capacity and advanced technologies are essential to caring for our growing community. We are grateful for the support of our many donors who have invested in transforming health care in San Luis Obispo County.”
Total support for the campaign is now more than $13 million towards their goal of raising $30 million, the hospital said in the release. Dignity Health is investing $100 million.
