UPDATE (7:49 p.m.): Lompoc Fire Batallion Chief Brian Federmann tells KSBY one person is displaced as a result of the garage fire.
Fire crews were able to stop the extension of the fire from burning the rest of the house, however Federmann says there is damage inside the home.
As of 8:20 p.m. Federmann says firefighters were still on scene assessing fire damage and plan to investigate the cause of the fire later this evening.

ORIGINAL STORY: Lompoc and Santa Barbara County firefighters are responding to a garage fire.
In a tweet posted around 7:30 p.m., Lompoc fire officials say a garage is fully engulfed in flames near the 900 block of East Almond.
