Santa Barbara County Firefighters rescued a fawn from a fire burning in the hills near Gaviota.
Fire officials say crews began caring for the animal and contacted wildlife rescue.
The fawn has been transferred to a rescue center for further care.
The Hollister Fire broke out at about 2:15 a.m. Thursday on Hollister Ranch Road.
Fire crews from across the Central Coast remain on scene Thursday afternoon fighting the blaze.
