The Lompoc Fire Department is investigating the cause of a carport fire that broke out early Wednesday morning.
It happened next to an apartment complex in the 600 block of the North 4th/5th Alley.
Fire officials say it took crews about 20 minutes to extinguish the fire and another two hours for salvage and overhaul.
The carport and two vehicles were burned. The fire also reportedly caused a power outage at a nearby apartment complex.
No civilians or firefighters were injured.
