Families reunited with the nurses and doctors that took care of their babies.
Parents and their children who were treated at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in San Luis Obispo to say thank you.
Families decorated cars with balloons and 'thank you' signs at a drive-by reunion Saturday.
Before the pandemic, the event typically brought together more than 500 community members from the Central Coast.
Local parents said they're grateful for the nurses who did everything they could to support their families and ease their concerns.
"When we were worried about her, they would tell us everything going on and explain things really well," said Christine Collins, a parent. "I'm a person who has to know every detail and they were so good."
The reunion also featured "Paws-itive" therapy dogs and booths with gifts for families.
