The FAA is investigating after a door fell off a plane while it was heading to San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport Wednesday.

According to the FAA's preliminary incident report, "an aircraft door separated" from the De Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter in the area of Bishop Peak and damaged the "leading edge of the tail."

All five people on board were not injured and the plane landed safely.
