San Luis Obispo County residents who live within the Emergency Planning Zone around Diablo Canyon Power Plant may briefly hear warning sirens go off this week.
The San Luis Obispo County Office of Emergency Services announced that crews would test each of the 131 early warning sirens on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The tests involve short, low-volume growl tests to ensure the system is working properly.
The sirens are tested four times per year.
