San Luis Obispo County’s Early Warning System Sirens will be tested again this week.
The low-volume tests will take place Tuesday and Wednesday.
The tests take place quarterly on each of the 131 sirens from Cayucos to Nipomo to make sure the system is working properly.
The sirens can be used for any local emergency where the public would need to take action, including but not limited to those at the Diablo Canyon Power Plant.
If you happen to hear the tests this week, you do not need to take any action.
