California seniors can now renew their driver’s license online until further notice.
The Department of Motor Vehicles is offering the option to Californians 70 years or older.
Previously, year-long extensions were given to senior drivers with non-commercial licenses expiring in March through December 2020.
Now anyone who received an extension, as well as anyone over 70 years of age and needing to renew their license, can apply online.
DMV officials say they want to help Californians avoid or delay an in-person office visit during the covid-19 pandemic.
A mail-in option will be available in the coming weeks.
