More than 50 military veterans, first responders, and their supporters are cycling from Santa Cruz to Santa Barbara for the annual Project Hero California Challenge.
The ride benefits veterans and first responders with PTSD and other injuries.
Many of the cyclists are making the journey with hand cycles, recumbent bicycles, and adaptive bikes.
They left from Santa Cruz on Monday, October 14 and spent the night in Carmel. On Tuesday, they rode to San Simeon.
Wednesday's ride will take the cyclists down Highway 1 to Pismo Beach.
After leaving Pismo Beach on Thursday, the riders will meet up for a short time with the Oceano Bike Posse, a group of young cyclists from Oceano Elementary School. Then, they will end their day in Solvang.
They're scheduled to complete the more than 300 mile journey in Santa Barbara on Friday.
