A portion of San Luis Bay Drive near Avila Beach was closed Friday afternoon because of a fatal crash.
It happened just before 3 p.m. at San Luis Bay Drive and Apple Orchard Lane.
The crash is reported to be a head-on crash involving a pickup truck and a Mercedes van. The driver of the van was reportedly killed in the crash.
San Luis Bay Drive was closed between Avila Beach Drive and See Canyon Road.
It is unknown when the road will be reopened.
