CPR was performed on a child pulled from Lake Nacimento Tuesday.
CAL FIRE says the first 911 call was received around 3:15 p.m.
The boy, whose age has not been released, was swimming near the shore with his parents nearby when some people visiting from out of state helped pull the child from the water and perform CPR, according to CAL FIRE.
Once first responders arrived on scene, they continued CPR.
Fire officials say the boy was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
An update on his condition was not immediately known.
