Court documents show the woman accusing Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden of sexual assault told her ex-husband about the claim.

The San Luis Obispo Tribune broke this story Thursday.

KSBY News obtained the documents Friday afternoon from the San Luis Obispo County Courthouse.

The accusation is mentioned in a restraining order Tara Reade filed against her then-husband, Theodore Dronen, in 1996. They lived in Morro Bay at the time.

In contesting the order, Dronen wrote about "a problem {Reade} was having at work regarding sexual harassment in U.S. Senator Joe Biden's office .. She eventually struck a deal with the chief of staff of the Senator's office and left her position."

Reade has accused Biden of sexual assault in 1993 when she worked for his office.

In an interview with Journalist Megyn Kelly, Reade said, "He had his hands underneath my clothes it happened all at once," Reade cried as she went on to explain, "he had one hand underneath my shirt and the other hand - I had a skirt on and he like when down my skirt and then went up."

Biden has maintained his innocence, telling MSNBC, "In every case, the truth is what matters and in this case, the truth is these claims are flat out false."

There has been no written records of the accusation, until now.
