To expand access to healthcare, Cottage Health will open 10 urgent care centers in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, with the first opening in summer of 2020.
According to a press release from Cottage Health, the urgent care centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day of the year to treat minor injuries and illnesses.
The centers will provide walk-in services, including X-rays, labs and medications, said the press release.
"The conveniently located Cottage Urgent Care centers will fill an important need for communities to quickly access care during extended hours," said Cottage Health in its press release.
Cottage Health says its goal is to complete care for patients within 30 minutes at these centers.
The locations of the new centers have not yet been announced.
Cottage Health also recently launched its Cottage CareNow virtual service, which allows patients to receive an online diagnosis for common conditions.
