(5:39 a.m.) - Central Coast community members can now go buy fresh fish straight from the fishermen in Morro Bay.

Beginning Monday, commercial fishermen in Morro Bay are switching to a direct to consumer business model.

Customers will be able to buy whole fresh salmon, rockfish and crab right from the commercial fishing boats in the Morro Bay Harbor.

Social distancing must be maintained in order for the sales to happen and continue.

Visitors can look for signs along the Embarcadero directing them to the boats that are selling fish.

The fishermen want to remind people to bring an ice chest with plenty of ice.
