Dozens of people attended a ceremony and luncheon honoring veterans Friday at the Freedom Monument Veterans Memorial in Santa Maria.
The free event is held every year.
This year, a plaque was dedicated honoring Cold War Veterans, those who served between 1946 and 1991.

The Freedom Monument Veterans Memorial is located outside the Abel Maldonado Youth Center at 600 S. McClelland St.
