The city of San Luis Obispo launched a disaster preparedness video to help community members prepare for a major disaster.
"Your public safety personnel are committed to protecting the community," said city officials in a press release. "Whether it is for a fast-moving wildfire, earthquake, major storm or extended power outage, the city encourages all citizens and visitors to get prepared now."
The video outlines a "Ready-Set-Go" plan and instructions on how to prepare a 72-hour self-sufficiency kit.
