The City of Paso Robles is getting ready to start construction on Nov. 12 to help improve the conditions of existing roadways and shoulders along Barney Schwartz Park.
CalPortland Construction, the city’s contractor for the project, will also be installing underground utilities and constructing concrete improvements.
The Union Road Improvements project will start next week and run through the beginning of summer in 2020. It’s expected to have several phases including everything from removing existing pavement to adding new pedestrian crossings with flashing beacons.
People are advised to look for 'no parking' signs that will be posted 72 hours before each phase begins. Work hours will be between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and there will be occasional night work between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
