The City of Grover Beach approved another $150,000 for local businesses struggling with the economic impacts of the pandemic.
Business owners can apply for a one-time $5,000 grant until Tuesday, Jan. 19.
Applications will be reviewed by a panel and checks will be distributed by late January.
This is the fourth round of micro-grants, which includes $75,000 for a local gift card program.
City officials are working on implementing this program by February, similar to the program in San Luis Obispo.
For a chance to win a gift card through the program, participants will need to spend $100 at a least one small business in Grover Beach, and then save their save their receipts for proof.
“The city and the chamber have taken rapid action to provide immediate assistance to Grover Beach businesses throughout this pandemic,” said Grover Beach Mayor Jeff Lee. “This funding provides life support for businesses struggling to keep their doors open in the face of unprecedented challenges brought about by the public health crisis."
