The California Highway Patrol has identified three Paso Robles residents killed Monday in a head-on crash on Nacimiento Lake Drive

CHP says Jeffrey A. McNerney, 51, of Paso Robles, was driving a 2015 Dodge Dart at "a high speed" when he attempted to cross a double yellow line and crashed head-on into a Ford F-150.

The driver of the truck, identified as John Kudla, 58, of Paso Robles, was the only one to survive the crash, which happened shortly after 2 p.m. east of San Marcos Road. His injuries were described as minor.

His passenger, identified as Denise A. Kudla, 59, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

McNerney's passenger was identified as Bobbi Jo Bainconnor, 45. They both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say McNerney was not wearing a seatbelt and may have been driving under the influence of alcohol.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Templeton CHP at (805) 434-1822.
