Children and families taking the Amtrak Surfliner Saturday may have seen Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
The gift giving couple took the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Saturday afternoon from San Luis Obispo to Grover Beach.
Families could greet Mr. and Mrs. Claus as they made their way onto the train platform.
Santa Claus met people at the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum and Mrs. Claus greeted others in the "La Cuesta," the museum's historic observation and café car.
"I'm just really grateful that they put it on. It's super fun, my daughter is super excited," said passenger John Gange.
"It's strictly a public benefit thing. We enjoy having the people and it's a lot of public exposure for the museum," said Karl Hovanitz of the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum.
This is the 5th year Santa Claus has taken the Surfliner.
