The Charles Paddock Zoo is hosting a virtual Halloween costume contest, instead of the Zoo Boo event, this year.
According to the press release, it will run from Oct. 17 through Nov. 1.
Every age group can participate, people just need to take a photo in from of the designated photo op display at the zoo and email it to photocontest@atascadero.org. The email should include the contestant's name, age and email/phone number with "Halloween Costume Contest" in the subject line.
The different categories include: under 5 years old, 5-8 years old, 9-12 years old, 13 & up, including adults and group costume (all ages).
The zoo said a winner will be selected for each group, along with prizes awarded. There is no fee to enter the contest.
