Nonprofit CA Central Coast is hosting their 5th annual un-Gala and Auction in August.
Instead of canceling the normal gala, the nonprofit decided to make it a virtual event. Virtual participation from the community will allow them to continue offering free programs to local individuals and families touched by cancer.
This year's Harvest, Hope & Healing gala theme is "A Vision of Hope."These unprecedented times have shown a glimpse of the uncertainty, isolation, and anxiety that cancer patients experience daily" said CSC Executive Director Shannon D'Acquisto.
Over $200,000 was raised for the community last year, according to D'Acquisto.
The event will partake in a virtual cheers, and also have a live and silent auction. Items in the auction will include local stay-cations, a Costa Rican getaway and more.
The event is on August 22, and sponsorships and 'un-tickets' are currently available. For information on the Harvest, Hope, and Healing un-Gala and Virtual Auction, click here, or call the Cancer Support Community directly at (805) 238-4411.
