Caltrans is opening the final bridge damaged in the 2018 Montecito mud slides.
The opening of the Montecito Creek Bridge off Highway 192 is expected to happen around 1 p.m. Friday.
"I am very pleased that we can bring a small sense of normalcy to a community still healing from this natural disaster," said Caltrans District 5 Director Tim Gubbins in a press release.
Caltrans says crews will continue to work on the bridge over the next several months but it is expected to stay open.
In all, it cost about $30 to restore the six bridges.
